  On Friday we welcomed our final Maths Week Ireland visitor. Bobby and Izzy's Mum is a Home Economics teacher and talked to the children all about using Maths when she is teaching each day. She set them lots of challenges and made some delicious Fifteens with the children! Who knew Maths could so much fun?

  

• Lewis wins again!

  On Saturday  12th October, Lewis  started in pole position for the Irish Championship for 2024 after leading the points chart. The weather was horrendous and the rain poured down, but Lewis battled to take the lead and set the fastest lap, to go on to be crowned Irish Champion.

  We are so proud of him as he will soon be travelling to South Africa competing for his country. 

  

• Supporting Our Wild Neighbours

  Earlier this week we welcomed Anna and Alice from Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful who brought an amazing Hedgehog house and a camera with them. The camera will detect any movement near the Hedgehog House and we will be able to take a look at the recording. We are taking part in a project sponsored by Radius Housing called 'Supporting Our Wild Neighbours' with our good friends from Maine Fold.

  

• Primary 1/2 and Primary 2/3 had a brilliant school trip to Carnfunnock Country Park. They loved going on the bus and having fun with their friends. A brilliant day out with superb behaviour.

• This Primary 7 star she was part of the Mid Antrim Pony Club team and they claimed 2nd at the Pony Club NI Area Games Competition Katie also won both her classes at the Irish Pony Society Show and claimed Working Hunter Champion Pony

• Primary 6 and 7 enjoy their Tag Rugby sessions with coach Ryan from Ballymena RFC each week. The rain stayed off long enough yesterday to allow from some great playing.

• Primary 6 were using AI in different ways. They used a website to bring their drawing and themselves to life! They used Skybox to create their own worlds using descriptions, and used an AI music website to generate songs - we now have a great song about parallel lines!

• Today the we had a Farm Safety talk for all the children delivered by the School Nursing Team. The children know all about staying safe and the dangers associated with farming.
