    During Number Week, Primary 3/4 played lots of Number games, made place value robots and did a Kahoot quiz.

  • Action Mental Health

    As part of our Transition work with Primary 7 and our Action Mental Health programme, the children had great fun this afternoon creating Ninja stress balls.

    This week is Number Week and the chidlren have all taken part in some excellent Maths work. 

    Primary 6/7 have been working hard  and even made it onto Maths week Ireland's Leader Board!

     

  • Education Minister's Visit

    We were delighted to have the Education Minister, Michelle McIlveen MLA, visit Groggan on Wedensday 20th October. She visited each classroom and spent time with the children. She particularly enjoyed her visit to Outdoor Classroom and watching our Primary 1 pupils in their 'Welly Wednesday' session. 

    Grace, Isla and Amelie McKee presented her with flowers.  

    Thank you to the staff who worked so hard to prepare for her visit and to the children, who as always, were the stars today!

  • Karting Success!

    This star had a great weekend, he won his heat and final in the last round of the Ulster Kart Club. This means he has finished 3rd over all in the championship in Northern Ireland, a big accomplishment as he is only 6 competing against most of his class who are 8 years old!

  • Take 5

    On Friday we launched our Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing  inititiave.

     

    The five steps are Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give and Take Notice. Throughout the school year, the children will be focusing on each step and taking part in lots of activities. The initiative helps people take care of their mental health and wellbeing and regularly practising the Five Ways is beneficial to everyone.  Thank you to Chris Lindsay from the Education Authority who has provided support to the school and helped us on our journey to becoming a Take 5 accredited school.
