Number Day!

Up, Up and Away

Food Glorious Food

In August our staff attended Numicon training in St James's Primary School, Newtownabbey. P3/4 have had great fun using it in their Maths lessons.

What a brilliant day Primary 4 had at W5 with our friends from Millquarter Primary School taking part in lots of STEM activities. A super trip with exemplary behaviour from the children.

Whatever the Weather topic

Primary 4 made and painted volcanoes using paper mache and today there was great excitement when it was finally time to make them erupt! We used different experiments but the one that worked the best for us was vinegar and baking soda. We discussed what caused the reaction and thought about how we could make it even better next time.

Two great girls went to visit Mrs Humphrey today to show her their amazing work. Lots of great strategies used in their Numeracy work today.

Our Primary 3/4 pupils were practising their phonics and matching words to the correct plural ending.

P3/4 have settled into school vey well and are getting used to new routines and a new classroom!  In Numeracy, we will be focusing on Place Value work and also looking at Pictograms.   Our topic this term is ‘Home Sweet Home’ and a lot of our writing, art and Activity Based Learning activities will be based on this.  Hopefully we will have a great term of learning and having fun!

Primary 3/4 have been so busy in their Activity Based Learning sessions, all linked to their 'Houses and Homes' topic.
