Groggan and Millquarter Primary Schools have been in a very successful Shared Education Partnership since 2017. The Principals, Staff and pupils all work together to improve the Learning experience for each child and enabling them to experience a world beyond the classroom. The partnership is funded by Peace IV and Leargas and both schools greatly value the support received from the Education Authority and the funding that enables the project to exist.
Staff train and plan together, the Principals work closely in all aspects of school life. The pupils in all year groups come together for shared classes and experiences.
Our Shared Education choir have been rehearsing hard in preparation for their performance at Ballymena Festival. They are working on two contrasting pieces, The Sound of Silence and The Bare Necessities from the Jungle Book. The children are really enjoying working together and they sound brilliant!

Our Coding lessons with Chris Dillon
Primary 5/6 had a fantastic time at Millquarter Primary School, when Chris Dillon from Max Coding came along to teach them all about coding. The children, as always worked really hard and had fun too!
Primary 5/6 classes work on the Closer project together
Primary 5 and 6 pupils have been working with Mrs. McNamee's class from Millquarter on the Closer Project. Our pupils are using technology to engage with each other and have shared their learning regularly- we may be only a few miles away from each other, but the impact of us supporting one another has been invaluable.
Primary 1 classes come together with Taylorstown Playgroup to experience Mr Hullabaloo
We had a great morning at Millquarter Primary School along with our friends from Taylorstown Playgroup. We watched Mr Hullabaloo perform and got a chance to take part! We had a super morning getting to know our new friends at Millquarter and can't wait until they visit us at Groggan.
Primary 5/6 Trip to the School at the Sea
'Best trip ever!'
When you hear those words coming out of the mouth of a nine year old, you know they have had a great day!
Primary 5/6 travelled to the School at the Sea just outside Larne with our friends from Millquarter Primary School. They travelled back in time and were evacuees during the war. The actors brought the whole day alive for the children and it was an experience never to be forgotten. #
