• Spring Concert

  Today we held our Spring Concert for our parents and friends. The children all performed really well and we are very proud of each one of them.

  Thank you to everyone who attended, a total of £127.96 was raised for School Funds.

  

• P5-7 Hive Hackers at Millquarter

  P5,6 and 7 children have just completed an extremely rewarding three day coding course, led by PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers). The course, entitled Hive Hackers, is designed to introduce the concepts of coding and computational thinking in a fun and engaging way. All children traveled to our shared education partner school, Millquarter, each day for a full day session that was delivered and supported by representatives from PWC. Each child received a pack and worked through conditionals, loops, procedures and debugging. It was an invaluable learning experience for the children and a great way to interact with our friends in Millquarter!

   

  Extra special thanks to the staff and children of Millquarter who made us feel so welcome and to the excellent Conor and the Hive Hackers team.

   

  

• Our very own Lewis hamilton was on the poduim again this weekend at Tullyallen in Dundalk. He was very happy with another third place - what a star!

  Well done to our latest Hot Chocolate Friday winners - setting a super example to us all.

  

• We are very grateful to the Groggan Fundrasing Group for enabling us to purchase a programme called Lexia for the children to use. To date we have seen great progress by the pupils in Literacy. A big well done to these stars who received certificates today for reaching their next level.

  What a great morning - our very own Hermione Granger from Primary 7 travelled to Antrim Board Centre to record her piece for World Book Day. We will all be watching C2k Newdesk on Thursday 7th March. Watch out BBC News NI you have competition!
