Learning about Burns Night
P5 and P6 children were very lucky to receive a visit from Matt Warwick, from the Ulster-Scots Agency, this morning. He entertained us all with an informative session all about Robbie Burns, and taught us all about connections between Scotland and Ulster. We learned that ‘dander’, ‘foundered’ and ‘scunnered’ are all words we use that come from Scotland. We learned about haggis and some famous songs, with ‘Auld Lang Syne’ being our favourite!
