P5/6 were very lucky to have a visit from Jenny from the NI war memorial today. They were treated to a hands on session with some items from the war and had an excellent time trying on some authentic clothing from the period.
Jenny was really impressed with the amount of knowledege the children had, an excellent way to finish our World War Two topic!

This years' football training has begun in earnest, with well attended sessions on Monday afternoons. Last week, we had our first outing in the Antrim School league.
Ben, Bobby and Alex take up the story.
Today we played two football matches, against Maine and Round Tower. First we played Round Tower and beat them 5-0 . When we played Maine we unfortunately lost to them 0-2. The rain was atrocious in the second match. In our first match Samuel scored 2 , Alex scored 1, Ben scored 1, and Adam scored 1. In the second the match Tommy saved some great shots. But unfortunately due to the lack of defence Maine scored two great goals both by their number 7. A special thanks to Mrs McKeever for bringing us.
