  • Primary 6 Sentinus Workshop

    Fri 20 Nov 2020 CH

A big thank you to Sentinus, who held a virtual STEM workshop with Primary 6 today. The children had great fun making vehicles and investigating which one was the fastest.

    Smiles all round!

  • Primary 7 NI Assembly 'Visit'

    Fri 20 Nov 2020 CH

Today Primary 7 took part in an online activity with N.I. Assembly Education Officer. This was the email Miss Kane received about them from Anne Marie the facilitator. To say we are proud of them is an understatement.

'I cannot thank you and your pupils enough for taking part in the Bill of Rights focus group - what a pleasure it was for me.

Your pupils were so articulate and spoke so enthusiastically, I genuinely was very impressed and bowled over by them. This was great to see and hear.

Please pass on my thanks to each and every one of them – they have set the bar very very high for the other 17 school groups.'

  • Anti-Bullying Week

    Fri 20 Nov 2020 CH

This week in school was Anti-Bullying week. The theme this year was 'United Against Bullying'. The children spent time this week looking at what bullying is and how to help to stop it. They had Assemblies about how to help their friends and themselves.

The P1-3 pupils learned all about being Bucket Fillers and Bucket Dippers from the beautiful book written by Carol McCloud.

On Friday the children all wore odd socks to show just how special and unique we all are.

  • P6/7 Minecraft

    Wed 11 Nov 2020 CH
As part of our ICT Curriculum, all of the children from Primary 1-7 learn how to code. Last year P6/7 took part in a project using Minecraft, creating a Viking Settlement. Today Miss Kane received a certificate from CCEA to recognise all their hard work. Well done everyone!

This Primary 7 star is currently taking part in a charity challenge called ‘50 Walk, Ride, Scoot’ for N.I. Children’s Hospice. The challenge is to raise £50 for walking, riding and scooting 50 miles inside 50 days. She has raised £170 already, done 18 miles so far and is in Day 14. Well done, we are all so very proud of you!
